Template:Single Cause Error

We need YOUR SKILLS in this collaborative work, to build the largest solution center for error messages.

From $1

Error Message (Optional)

This section contains the full text of error message. Do not write anything here except the error message and use this section if and only if the error message is too long to fit in the title. You can just write 1 or 2 sentences to the title, and all of the error message to here. If the error message contains a variable, such as files or class names, then denote the variable with a meaningful name like this (UserName). Here is an example for the error message:

Error A111J: (X).dll object cannot be reached. Please try again later.

Description (Optional)

In this section you can write some preliminary knowledge about the error.

Cause

This section is necessary. Write here when and why the error occurs. If you are not sure about why the error has occured, then writing when it occurs is enough.

Solution

This section must also exist in the article. If you don't know how the problem can be solved, then leave this section blank. It will be filled by the other members of the community.

Try to write solutions in a step-by-step manner. Use the Ordered List button of the editor.

  1. Step 1 for solution.
  2. Step 2 for solution.
  3. Step 3 for solution.

Write in bold if you are referring to a button or an element of a tool. (Ex: Ordered List)

Try to explain the solution in a simple language, so that everyone can understand easily.

Subsections

You can use subsections under any section if you need them. You can copy and paste this Subsections part and modify it.

External Links (Optional)

Write the links in an unordered list. Use the Unordered List button of the editor.

Hint: Sometimes adding links with html source is easier than using the editor. You can see the html source of the article by the HTML button of the editor. Also you can update the article from here.
