Errorbase

From $1

Errorbase is a collaborative writing project, that aims to build the largest trouble-shooting guide about all kinds of error messages.

Why Errorbase?

The errors are one of the biggest troubles of computer users. Not only the end-users, but also software developers, system admins, database admins etc. are having problems with errors. Most of the time, the error messages does not give any detailed information about the errors we encounter. When we see an error message, we usually dive deep into the forums, mailing lists and question sites in order to find a solution.

The mission of the Errorbase is to build the largest article-based solution center for the error messages. All the articles are created and edited by the individual volunteers like you.

Here are some of the reasons why you should use and collaborate for Errorbase.

Error Messages are titles

In Errorbase, the titles of the articles are the error messages themselves. When you copy and paste the error message to the search text, you will immediately reach the solution about your error.

Not technology specific

The content of the articles are not limited to a specific technology. Every kind of error message, even hardware errors, are in the domain of the project.

Supplementary screenshots and files

The articles are all supported by the screenshots and files. If you are having a problem because of a missing file, you can immediately download that file from the attachments part of the article.

No markup language required

You do not have to know any markup language for editing an article. Because the system contains an editor similar to word processors, you can create and edit an article easily.
